Happy November! I get so excited at the beginning of each month now becuase that means that we are getting closer and closer to January! 13 more weeks to go! Little Miss Wright is growing and kicking like crazy these days! She's about to get her first "feel" of winter, too! Andrew and I head to MN on Friday (!!!!) for a quick visit. Since I will be unable to fly or travel for the holidays, we really wanted to get home one more time before she is born. We are looking forward to seeing family, having some showers and going to a Bethel football game! It will be a very fast and BUSY trip, so if we don't get to see everyone, we apologize in advance. We would love to stay longer and catch up with everyone, but time just doesn't permit that this time around.
Our Halloween festivities mainly consisted of heading to Chipotle for a free burrito on Saturday evening! We dressed up our little pumpkin in order to take advantage of the free meal! On Sunday, November 1, we rode the metro train down to Olvera Street in downtown Los Angeles. November 1 celebrated as "Dia de los Muertos" or "Day of the Dead." As creepy as this sounds, it is actually a very honoring holiday celebrated by mostly Mexican culture to remember and honor those ancestors who have passed away. Andrew and I enjoyed walking around and looking at the alters set up for these deceased relatives and, of course, couldn't leave without some delicious Mexican food :) Since this is the culture that I am so immersed in each day at school, it was neat to see the celebration and traditions first hand.
Tonight we begin our first birth classes! Yikes! This is the first of 5 classes for the next several weeks and they are held at our hospital. Things are becoming more and more real...!
As baby and I physically grow, Andrew and I really grow in anticipation of meeting this little girl in a few months! Although she could survive, most litkely, with a lot of help, if she were to be born now, please continue to pray for safe and healthy development of our sweet girl! Much Love from the Wright Family!
P.S. I have to give a shout out to one of my faithful blog followers...Abbey Duehn! Hope to see you at church next week!
