30 weeks

Here we are, 30 weeks into this thing!  In some ways, I feel like I have been pregnant forever...in other ways, I wonder how we could already be this far.  Not much new around here...I passed the glucose test, thank goodness!  It's a good thing, too, because I have had a sweet tooth lately!  I am surely looking forward to that pumpkin pie tomorrow!  For Thanksgiving, we are happily looking forward to celebrating with our dear "CA family" as we like to call them!  I am doing the turkey and excited about taking on that adventure again!  That is about all I am in charge of though, so it isn't much stress AT ALL.  We will share our meal with the Moore, Retts, and Novak families tomorrow afternoon and are looking forward to it!  It seems as though we have so much to be thankful for this year.  We of course are blessed beyond belief by the gift of this baby.  She is already a complete part of our family and we can't imagine things without her, already.  It is very special to be pregnant during this time of year and be able to reflect on how grateful I am to have this opportunity to carry one of God's precious children.  As I sit on my couch and look out the living room window, I am also struck by the beauty of the sunset and how thankful I am that the Lord is so creative.  We didn't need a beautiful sunset!  The sun could simply go down unnoticed, as it does be me and so many often, without any pomp or circumstance.  However, God is good and cares about details and He gives us the wonderful opportunity to experience His handiwork each evening.  We are sad to be far from home and missing our MN family and friends - but so thankful for you all!  Andrew and I have been reminded so often of how lucky we are to be surrounded by such wonderful people.  We have much to be thankful for tomorrow and always!  Happy Thanksgiving!
