July 2010
Once upon a time, a girl met this crazy, goofy football player. He loved to have fun and make adventures out of life. He was incredibly smart and helped her to think about the world in new, deeper ways. This boy made this girl so happy and her heart jump whenever they were together. Then, her dreams came true, and they were married on a beautiful summer day in July.
After they wed, these young lovers headed west to start a new life in CA. Though their expectations were exactly met, these two stuck it out in the Golden State. Through tears, laughter, questions, wonderful and difficult days, the two love birds made a new home in CA. It turned out to be quite the place to live. Mountains, oceans, deserts, forests, and all sorts of people helped this young girl and young boy broaden their world views.
Then one day, she came to him, with a smirk and said "Guess what...?!" Now there were three. On a sunny, cold day in January, an alert and lovely, sweet girl joined this story. Their hearts overflowed.
And so, here we are - 5 years into this life. It has been quite the journey and so much is to come. Andrew Clark Wright - you are my best friend and partner in this world, I love you so much.
Our Anniversary Weekend of Events:
Friday, July 2: an afternoon spent downtown in the flower district...24 roses for $4! I also picked out an orchid...something I have been wanting for awhile. We loved exploring the city for a bit and had an afternoon snack at Yogurt Land in Little Tokyo.
For dinner, Andrew brought me to the oldest Hollywood restaurant! Musso and
Frank is 91 years old and is a classic, old Hollywood restaurant. Though expensive
and not the best food we've ever had - it was fun to check this place out. We decided that they haven't changed their menu in the 91 years they've been around. For example, we ordered an appetizer of olives - thinking it would be an olive tray, maybe some stuffed olives, etc....nope...just a plate of black olives that were poured out of a can :) **Special thanks to David and LB for letting Ev sleep over until we got home!
Saturday, July 3: We headed up to Santa Barbara/Solvang/Los Olivos area for
some wine tasting. Bridlewood Winery is one of our favorites and we had a delicious picnic on their beautiful grounds. It was a perfect day.
Sunday, July 4: all the festivities for the 4th! ---see the next blog for this info!
Not sure why I was unaware that you had a blog. Glad that has been corrected!!!
