Since we are still in MN (!), we took advantage of some great Minneapolis locations today. I loved it.
Our first stop was the Wild Rumpus Book Store. I was daydreaming, during our entire visit here, that I was the owner of this eccentric, fabulous children's bookstore. Not only was the store bursting with wonderful titles of all sorts, it is also home to several animals! 2 chickens run wild in the store (except when a young, almost 2 year old is trying to catch them - then they hide), cats sleep in their comfortable towers, birds squawk, and mice crawl on their wheels for all to see. There were a few other furry friends that my babes loved looking at between picking out some new stories to explore. It was just a delightful place and I have no idea how I had never heard of this bookstore in my previous 20+ years of living in Minnesota! It will surely be a priority in every visit from here on out. In this picture, Evie is chasing one of the chickens and saying "I hold it!"

From there, we walked a few blocks over to the Turtle Bread Co. Another favorite of mine. This is a bakery that we try to frequent whenever we are in town. Not only do they have fabulous soup and a great atmosphere, but it is also in a beautiful neighborhood that I dream of living in someday. Just a great place all around. This was our second visit to the T-Bread Co. during this MN stay and just as delightful as previous. I had a delicious bowl of wild rice soup, Andrew had tomato basil, Evie had a grilled cheese sandwhich, and Ezra was just a happy boy, as seen here!
