Friends/Siblings

I have a bunch of pictures from the past month or so to upload but tonight, my goal is to be in bed before 9:45, so those exciting shots will have to wait until another day.

Review of today:
- 1st day back at work = success. I was expecting to walk into chaos, but the main office was VERY quiet - especially for the first Monday back after a 3 week break! It was nice to get back to a routine and the normal things of life. Evie made it very difficult for me to leave this morning, though. Whenever we have extended days together, it is always hard to go back to saying good-bye in the mornings. I just stare at those adorable faces and cheeks all morning long while I gaze at their pictures on my desk at school!
- Ezra took a morning nap for Andrew and fussed for only 10 minutes for me this afternoon and then proceeded to sleep for 2 hours! I'm not saying anymore about this because I do not want to jinx anything!
- Today's nap time project? Rearrange several rooms in my house and get rid of things! I am on a New Years mission to purge, organize, and clean!
- I did not get to the grocery store yet. Eek - bare minimums around here!

Anyways, on to the good stuff!
We are so lucky to have such dear friends here in Pasadena. Luckier still, are our children, and the fact that they get to grow up with "siblings" in these friends. Especially in living in community, our kids were able to experience a really special relationship with other children and adults, and build some special bonds. We attended a Christmas musical for the son of our friends, a few weeks ago, and I got teary eyed when he took the stage! I, literally, have known him since he was born and watched him grow up this far! All of these children of our friends are so dear to our hearts and my children just adore their friendships. This really is our California family and Evie and Ezra have many "siblings" here that they are growing up with. I am so grateful.
Here are just a few pictures to capture the love that these kids all have for each other:
