reminders.

It was a rough day at work. Not so difficult for me but for the students and families I work with. Just a day of reminders that life isn't easy for a lot of people. Reminders that difficult things are happening all around us. Reminders that life is hard.

But then I came home. Evie met me at the door, running and screaming "mama!" and Ezra wiggled his ENTIRE body in excitement when he saw me. These are my reminders. Reminders for me that life is hard, but mine is good. Reminders that there is sadness, but so much more joy. Reminders that the world is dark, but God gives us light.




These are my reminders. Reminders that God is present. That God is good. And gracious. And delights in the little things of life. This does not neglect the fact that there is much sadness and pain in the world. I am simply reminded of His goodness, too. And it reminds me that I have so much to be happy and grateful for.
