Wands

Technically, I missed a day...it's after midnight and I'm just getting to this! Oh well! Birthdays and party prep will do that to a mother :) Tonight, I was making the 'sunshine wands' that Evie's friends will get as party favors. She is really excited about these wands because of an event earlier today...
The kids and I took a walk down to see Andrew at work and to bring him some lunch. Please note that I don't think my daughter has ever gone anywhere without some sort of a treasure! Today, her princess wand had to accompany her in the stroller. This was perfectly fine and we enjoyed our walk...
When we were almost home, we came to a fence and her wand was stuck inside of it! She had dropped her wand, and I didn't realize it, until we discovered it waiting for her! Evie was very curious about who would have picked up her wand and left it for her and we had to talk about this several times throughout the day. When she saw me working on these wands, she was so excited that everyone might have a friendly stranger save their wand for them, too!

I love the curiosity, joy, and heart of my (so close to being a) 2 year old.
