2 years well!

Today was Evie's 2 year well check. Thankfully, she is a healthy, 2 year old, spunky, fun, silly, talkative, and smart girl. Unfortunately, Evie does not appreciate the dr or dr's office...and she let everyone there know that today.

First of all, the stats:
1. 34 inches tall...54 percentile
2. 28 lbs...67 percentile
3. Head - 19.5 inches...93 percentile...lots of brains in this girl :)

Secondly, let me give you a picture of this day...

I was planning to bring both of my loves to the dr's office bc Ez was suppossed to have shots, too. At the last moment, I realized that it was going to be very difficult to hold Ezra and keep Evie on the exam table. Thankfully, our dear friend, Joey was home and available for Ezra to come hang out for awhile! I don't know what I would have done if I'd had both with me...
Evie was ready for the dr. We'd been talking about the visit all week and getting ready. She was happy and ran through the door when the nurse called her name! Things did not continue as well...

The screaming started as soon as we got into our room. Evie hates having her temperature taken by me, let alone at the dr. She also had to be pinned down to get her measurement. When we tried to weigh her, Evie would have nothing to do with the scale or letting go of me. We tried stickers, stuffed animals, the baby scale, everything...she would have nothing to do with the scale! Eventually, I had to hold her, and stand on the scale with her. Then, a nurse pried Evie away from me so I could be weighed on my own, to subtract from our joint weight! Good grief. Now all the nurses know how much I weigh, too :)

Luckily, E did not have to get a shot today. Although, I'm not really sure it would have made things any worse!

Like I said, I'm so grateful that Joey was free this afternoon! Evie and I did stop at Pinkberry on our way home...this may seem odd, like I was rewarding her for her crazy behavior. However, I do not want Evie to fear the dr completely and if there was a chance of creating a happy memory or association with our experience, I wanted to make that happen! Frozen yogurt always makes happy memories :)

I love this girl. She has definitely become a '2' year old over night but I have to love her passion and, again, I'm so thankful for her health!

P.s.
I'm posting on the iPad, sorry for the lack of photos...
