Baby's First Day of School

19 weeks also came with the realization that reality was setting back in.  This is a picture of my first day back with teachers - hence the jeans - and today was the first day with students.  I was exhausted yesterday as I finished setting up my room and getting ready for the big day, but today went well.  I have 31 students - 24 4th graders and 7 5th graders.  Quite the change from 20 5 year olds.  They are sweet, nice kids and I enjoy their personalities...some are quite talkative, so I may have to bring out the strict Mrs. Wright, but for the most part, they seem to be good kids.  This will be a challenging few months, but I can do anything for a few months, right?!
So, I must get to bed, but here are the top three highlights of this past week of pregnancy:

3. Late night feedings....meaning for me.  I am now hungry at ALL hours.  I think I am having to eat smaller meals but more often.  I have been waking up hungry in the middle of the night and last night I made Andrew get me a banana!  I guess thats a good thing...we are all growing!

2.  Restless leg syndrome - or more like restless "all over body" syndrome.  This is a new issue for me - something I have never experienced before now - something that I hope passes quickly!  The other night, while riding in the backseat of a friends car, the only comfortable relief came while I held my arm over my head and had Andrew pull down on my hand!  Odd, yes - but whatever helps!  For some reason, having my arms over my head has helped - I have to sleep like this more often now, too!

1.  Buying and wearing my first pair of maternity pants.  I bought a cute pair of khakis for Target - knowing that I need things for school and they split, in the crotch, right before the bell rang on the first morning of school.  Super.  Typical, actually, for me.  I just laugh!  It was ridiculous.  The tears were on both legs - half way down my thighs and I had no time to aid this problem!  I ended up pinning them, as well as I could, hiding behind chairs and holding things in front of the problem area for awhile, and how no one noticed, I have no idea.  Then, to top it off, we went in to lockdown on campus for about 20 minutes or so - prolonging my difficult situation and preventing me from calling Andrew to the rescue!  Finally, I did get ahold of him and he was able to save the day by bringing new clothes.  This one will go down in the books.  The office girls loved it, of course.  Glad I can bring laughter to a first day of school.  Apparently I am bigger then I realize.

So, baby girl and I keep growing --- she loves hearing daddy read to her at night - this is her most active time, or at least when I can really feel her doing somersaults.  Andrew has felt her moving and kicking several times now, too!  I get more anxious to meet her as each week passes by - faster and faster, I might add!

So, off to bed we go - the mornings come quickly now!
