ohBoyohBoy

2011 - year of our BOY :) Yesterday we had our 2nd trimester ultra-sound and heard only good news. Our sweet baby is developing in healthy ways and growing up strong. Baby was measuring right around 20 weeks and weighs about 11 oz. Heart beat and blood flow were good, brain was developing, 2 kidneys, straight spine, etc., and little boy parts :) Our little man was very clear in letting us know that he is a he!

Several months ago, very early on in this pregnancy, I dreamt that this baby was a boy. With Evie, I only dreamt that she was a girl, so I was not surprised at all to see those little parts on the screen. We are very excited to a son now and to enjoy both our daughter and little boy. Evie will be a wonderful big sister - she loves babies and cuddly things! We are thrilled to expand our family in this way.

This is how we told our friends on Friday night...with MR. Goodbars. I was looking for "Oh, Henry" bars but couldn't find any...this was perfect and they all caught on quickly! Their votes were pretty split between boy and girl - although, overall, there were more boy predictions this time around. Whenever I would ask Joel (3 1/2 years old) what was in my tummy, he would say "A boy."

I've already started looking for new boy things and browsed the boy section at Target last night! So much fun to look forward to!

  1. At our MOPS group when a mom announces a pregnancy she has to draw from a basket to see if she's having a girl or boy. If it's a girl she draws a Baby Ruth. If it's a boy she draws an Oh Henry! :o)
