Swimming Lessons

Even though it has been a few weeks now, Evie is still raving about her swimming lessons :)
She had a great time and loved being at the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center. The water was wonderfully warm and every time we started to walk down the ramp, into the water, she would start kicking her legs and want me to lower her in the water.
Each week we did a series of activities, songs, and games. They were designed to get Evie accustomed to being in the water and comfortable swimming around. We did laps of kicking and rolling onto her back, etc. I think she liked jumping off the side the best! We also practiced blowing bubbles. Although she didn't fully accomplish this, we practiced and she was getting more and more brave and close to being able to do it!
One of the greatest parts of swimming lessons was sharing the fun with Eli and Katie! Our class originally had 1 other girl in it, but she stopped coming, so we really had our own private lesson! It was great. Although, Katie and I had to laugh because Eli and Evie didn't really acknowledge each other in the pool...it was kind of like they didn't recognize each other or want anything to do with one another when they weren't in their homes or normal settings!
Overall, a very fun 4 Saturdays and we will consider another session of more lessons soon!
