Malibu Hike

So, getting back to that picture I left you with the other night, we had a lovely day in Malibu a few weeks ago! Andrew, the kids, and I, joined our friend D.M., who was alone with his boys all weekend. We headed out to the Malibu mountains and enjoyed a lovely hike! It was a beautiful day and the 3 older kids loved running ahead and exploring in the wilderness. We borrowed an additional hiking backpack from some other friends, and this was Ezra's first chance to ride piggy back with me :) He loved it. He was able to watch the other kids run and play and he even fell asleep...always a true sign of comfort! Enjoy some photos from the day :)

oh, I must add...

when we went in malibu to have lunch, we let the kids play at a community playground. evie was making friends with some "malibu kids" and andrew went over to investigate. when he got over there, the new child's "malibu mother" said to andrew, "what is her name?" and he told her "evie."

"Oh," she said, "she kept telling me that he name was Peppermint."
